Hello, one and all.
A few weeks ago now I gave up being a cl. This is me, doing it of my own free will, being in sound mind and body, knowing exactly what I was doing, what I have done, and still being in possession of the afore mentioned facts. I did not have it stripped away, a bunch of marauding aliens did not come down from the planet dimbleydorple and steal my status, create havoc including breaking each and every terms of service, and turning Chris_n's left kneecap green. I gave it up, for personal reasons, on my own, by myself, with noone's else's help, as I already said, knowing what I was doing. I know now, what I did. I am fully, incredibly clearly, vividly in fact aware that I am no longer a cl. So please! For the love of all things purple and blue, try at least to refrain from telling me I am no longer a fucking cl? It's getting irritating now! Oh yeah, and for all you smart asses who think it'll be funny to tell me now you know it's irritating, fuck off in advance, lmfao. On a rather more serious note, no, I'd rather not discuss it further than this.

Simon, as you know I rarely have public QN's on, so I didn't hear any of the gossip. However, I had wondered what happened to you as when you first became a CL you were on quite a lot, and then all of a sudden I wasn't seeing you on here anymore. So I'm just happy to know you're OK and that you gave up being a CL of your own free will. I have heard from other CL's who have quit that it is a very difficult job.

Simon, if you didn't want to be a cl, you shouldn't have applied for it in the first place you fucking twat. And, I'll stick with my original theory about why you resigned. Because it got too hot in the kitchen, so you had to get out. Either that, or you're just an extremely pathetic little pussy. Likely a mix of both, I would suspect. If you didn't think you could handle the job, you shouldn't have applied.

ok. cam, until you've been a CL, then you won't understand the pressures. but as someone who does absolutely fuck all with there life, i dare say you'd have no trouble with the job. but i guess simon realised it was more than he could manage what with his OU course and everything else he's doing. so, i really think you should actually think about the reasons someone did what they did, and not just assume you know everything when you go shooting your mouth off.

I don't seem to remember your name appearing under the list of past or current cl's. You and I have always been cool, so let's keep it that way, eh? My original point was, if he knew the job was so demanding, and he had a lot on in his life as it was, why the fuck would he even apply?
You don't just apply for a job, get it, and then a few weeks later go, oh. I've got too much on in my life. I quit. If you're gonna apply for a job, you'd better intend to stick it out for a while. At least that's what I've always been lead to believe.

And I never give a shit who agrees with me. So the fact that cam and dan disagree with my views, makes absolutely no difference to me. If people agree, they agree. If they don't, they don't. And the fact that several others disagree, makes no difference to me what so ever. You don't like what I have to say? Too bad. Because if I have an opinion, I'll express it. Cam (Shark) I usually find you amusing, and I've even seen a caring side to you. However, your posts here are totally unnecessary. I seriously doubt if Simon knew he would not be able to handle being a CL at the time he applied. No one applies for a job if they know they can't handle it. I've talked to enough past CL's to know that none of them knew fully what they were getting into and the unreasonable demands some zoners try to make on them. It sounds to me that you were just using this topic as a way to express your general dislike of Simon.

Simon, I have no idea as to the reasons you stepped down, but you've always come across as an intelligent, helpful person, and I'm glad that you've made a decision that will work out for you in the long run. I think most zoners realize that they lost a special CL, but we're definitely glad to have you back among the masses!! and I hope you don't let Shark's words get to you; I, too, think his posts in this thread were unreasonable. Then again, I don't come here so that I can always find reasonable people, right? take care of yourself. You're awesome.
Simon, first, I wanna commend you for challenging yourself with the job of being a cl. regardless of everything that's going on in your life now, you took a leap of faith and ran with it, and, I'm sure, enjoyed every minute of it. I'm proud of ya, man; huuuuge hugs!!

*smiles* Thanks guys, for all the words of encouragement. It really isn't all that though, what I did as a cl, in as short a time as I was one, and the stepping down thing. Many others have done it before me. As I said, I merely put this board topic up here to let those among us who tend to state the obvious know that it wasn't necessary to do so. I wasn't expecting all this to be honest, but really appreciate the support nevertheless. As for Shark's posts, I'm glad he did, as it prompted some really amusing responses from Cam and Becky. *grins*. Anyway folks as amusing as this all was, let's move on lol
